Materials:
Planner/electronic calendar (chrome book will be provided) · Work from other classes · Book to read · Pen/pencil and paper
*All materials need to be brought every day.
Daily Schedule:
Goal setting: Students look up grades on power school, write down any missing assignments, write a goal they will work on for the period
Skill-10-15 min. : Explicit teaching/conferencing as needed, individual and small group.
Homework: 45 min. If no homework, Comprehension skill practice ( read theory, read works, read write think), mathematics (Alecks) or can read book.
Skills Definition: Comprehnsion activities utilizing websites such as readtheory.com and noredink.com, DOL’s( Daily oral Language) and pre teaching from language arts and math classes
Grades are based on the following areas that are evaluated by daily performance and behavior. Students will complete a daily rubric of the following:
- Power school, writing down missing assignments, writing a goal for the day and completing the goal, answering questions and citing evidence in response to an interactive read aloud, weekly points earned for B and A grades.
- Behavior/Citizenship
- Respect other’s right to learn students will rate themselves yes or no. The teacher will concur and review this daily.
