Attendance and Tardy Policy
Participation and practice are essential to becoming proficient. In other words, plan on being in class, ready to work – regular attendance is extremely important. It is the student’s responsibility to come to the teacher in the case of an absence.
Dress Code Policy: In accordance with Washington Counties District Policy 2200 Student Dress Code: Clothes that are mutilated or immodest are not appropriate school wear.Skirts and Shorts should be longer than the finger tips when arms are held straight against the body. No tank tops or tube tops stading alone. Undergarments should not be easily visible through sheer fabric shirts, armholes of the shirt or above waistbands of pants. Shirts must cover the belly and not have any inappropriate graphics. You can see the complete dress code at scmiddle.org.
Consequences for violation of the Student Dress Code: Student will be sent to the office and may be sent home to make the changes necessary to be in compliance with policy.
Personal Electronic Devices: Personal Cell phones, iPods, and other such devices can detract from the learning environment, and need to be turned off at the beginning of class/kept in back pack. Violation of cell phone policy caresult in cell phones confiscated, where parents/ and or student will need to come and pick up the phone at the office. The last 5 min. of class, students may retrieve/check their phones if they desire.
